"This daring, fast-paced, bionic action-hero’s supercharged origin story serves Gen V energy."

Independent Book Review

SWANBLADE follows ballerina Kayla McAllister, the strong-willed daughter of retired superhero and war veteran Captain Atomic Ace, in an alternate 1950s world spiraling into chaos. After a devastating attack leaves her a triple amputee, Kayla receives experimental prosthetics and is thrust into a rising storm. As she battles old enemies and new threats, Kayla struggles with vengeance and legacy in becoming the symbol her city desperately needs.

Swanblade: Year One

"In this unapologetically dark graphic novel, hard-edged noir fiction collides with top-shelf illustration in a creative, mixed-media layout that feels like its own genre. This second installment improves on its predecessor with vividly realized action, an increasingly relatable hero, and an unpredictable array of plot twists."

THE BOOKS

"Soaked in retro-futuristic aesthetic and war-based technological evolution, D. K. Kristof’s emotionally ambitious and richly illustrated graphic novel, SWANBLADE: Year Zero, lays the groundwork for the series."
